For this weeks TWD- Barbara of Bungalow Barbara– picked Sablés, recipe to be found on pages 131-133, Baking From My Home To Yours by Dorie Greenspan.
Sables are a lovely form of shortbread. The dough is quick and easy (I made mine while getting the kids ready for school). The cultured butter I used made these very tasty indeed. I have never had much luck with getting the sugar to look pretty on the edges but these are worth perservering with.
