April 26, 2011 – Valerie of Une Gamine dans la Cuisine chose Cornmeal Shortbread Cookies on page 130 of BFMHTY by Dorie Greenspan.
These are simple and aside from the fact they need to have a rest in the fridge before they are baked up – are quick to make. The cornmeal does add a nice crunch.
But beware, they spread- or perhaps it is that I have managed to be involved with yet another misbehaving oven. Oven gauge reads 350F- separate oven thermometer reads 300F. Time to call in the service folk.
