Back on April 5, 2011 – Jessica of Domestic Deep Thought of the Day chose Coffee Ice Cream Tart on pages 358 and 359.
Anyway, with the Dark Chocolate Sorbet we made this week I found something to fill this tart. The crust was lovely (although a little too much nutmeg perhaps for my taste).
I also loved the tip about melting the chocolate in the base. I popped my shell covered in chocolate shards back into the oven for 2 minutes which melted the chocolate so very nicely. This is a technique I will keep in my bag of tricks from now on.
And therein lies the beauty of the TWD experience. If I just made 5 recipes from the book I may have never stumbled over this technique.
