August 2, 2011 – Mike of Ugly Food for an Ugly Dude chose Cocoa Almond Meringues on page 155 of BFMHTY by Dorie Greenspan.
My good husband asked me to make half of these sans chocolate. I liked them both ways- including as a version of Eton Mess- crumbled meringues layered with whipped cream and strawberries. The almond in these lifted them to another level.
All in all lovely. Also a great use of the leftover egg whites after my recent pistachio tarte catch up!
